Limited Registration
Employers (e.g. educational institutions and education and care services) must apply for Limited Registration for a person they have made an offer of a teaching position to and who is not entitled for other categories of registration.
The application process may be started by either the employer or the nominated teacher.
If granted registration, the entitlement to teach is limited only to those duties specified in the offer of the teaching position made to the nominated teacher.
Under the Teacher Registration Act 2012, the employer or the employer's delegate (the person, usually a school principal, who is authorised to engage teaching staff) is responsible for making the application for Limited Registration and paying the applicable registration fee. Current application fees can be found in the Schedule of Fees.
Please refer to the Limited Registration page for more information.
