Interim orders
The Board may make one of the following interim orders if:

- the Board believes, on reasonable grounds, that the teacher may pose a risk of harm to a student and suspension is necessary to protect a student, the Board may make an order suspending the registration of a registered teacher.
The Board must make an order suspending a teacher's registration if the Board becomes aware that the registered teacher has been charged with an actionable offence.
An interim order must be referred to the State Administrative Tribunal within 14 days.
Conditions imposed by the Board
The Board may impose conditions on the registration of a teacher:
- when granting, renewing or changing the category of the registration
- during the currency of the registration.
A condition imposed by the Board may apply indefinitely or for a specified period of time.
A teacher may apply to the Board to have a condition on their registration modified or cancelled.
